Our U9 (born 2018 and 2019) and U11 (born 2016 and 2017) mini handball teams do not play a long league with a match every weekend like the older teams. They play tournaments, with several shorter matches in one day. The club has 28 of them planned until summer 2027, and the U9 team goes to 13 of them. All the dates are now on the website too.
The tournaments start on Saturday 7 November in Chodov, where both age groups play in the 4+1 format. On Friday 13 November our U11 girls travel to the three-day Milevská pralinka, a girls-only tournament, where they play in a joint team with girls from Ústí nad Labem. On Tuesday 17 November the Sokol mini handball championships take place in Velké Meziříčí, and on Saturday 21 November there is a 4+1 tournament in the Lokomotiva Vršovice hall. Both U9 and U11 play at both of them. The U11 team finishes November with a 5+1 tournament in Chodov on Saturday 28 November and a round of the Podkrušnohorská liga 6+1 in Kobylisy on Sunday 29 November.
At home in the Heroldovy sady hall we host three U11 tournaments: on Sunday 6 December (6+1), a round of the Podkrušnohorská liga on Saturday 12 December (6+1) and on Saturday 15 May (5+1). Parents, grandparents and all other supporters are welcome.
In January the U11 team has two two-day tournaments: the Just IT Cup in Velké Meziříčí on 9 and 10 January and the Hanácký pohár in Kostelec na Hané on 16 and 17 January, where the U9 team goes too. The Podkrušnohorská liga continues with rounds in Dresden, Jičín, Liberec and Lovosice, and from April some tournaments are played outdoors. The U11 team ends the season with a tournament in Koper, Slovenia, from 3 to 8 July 2027.
The full schedule is on the U9 and U11 team pages and under Matches. You can also add the tournaments to the calendar on your phone (Calendar on the website, team calendar), and your phone will pick up any changes by itself. Dates may still change during the season, and for several spring tournaments in Prague one of two possible days is still being chosen.
